The Study

The City of Vaughan has completed a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study for future improvements to Teston Road, between Pine Valley Drive and Kleinburg Summit Way. This study assessed the transportation needs for those who live in the area and travel through it, including safety and operational improvements for all modes of transportation, like walking, biking and driving.

The study was carried out in accordance with Schedule B of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, amended 2007, 2011 and 2015), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.

Recommendations from this study include:

Operational safety improvements for all users, including at intersection locations.
In-boulevard cycle tracks and sidewalks, on one or both sides of the road.

Requests should include the requester contact information and full name for the ministry. Requests should specify what kind of order is being requested (request for additional conditions or a request for an individual/comprehensive environmental assessment), how an order may prevent, mitigate or remedy those potential adverse impacts, and any information in support of the statements in the request.
