York Region holding COVID-19 vaccination clinics for disabled youth
July 27, 2021

York Region Public Health is offering a dedicated COVID-19 vaccination clinic for youth with disabilities and their families today in Newmarket.

The clinic, which will administer Pfizer vaccines by appointment only,  is at Sir William Mulock Secondary School at 705 Columbus Way from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 27.

The special clinics provide registered nurses who are experienced and supportive immunizers and additional time so youth can receive their vaccination without rushing, regional spokesperson Patrick Casey said.

Individuals can choose to receive their vaccination in the school gymnasium or in their vehicle, he added, and can bring any items that may increase their comfort such as headphones, earphones and tablets.
