A stretch of Langstaff Road in Vaughan has reopened after fire crews brought under control a rooftop fire Jan. 19 at a building under construction.

Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service tweeted that the blaze at a commercial building located at 6675 Langstaff Rd. was under control within 45 minutes and crews were conducting overhaul operations.

The fire broke out just before 2:30 p.m.

It is believed the fire may have started when roofing crews were doing work, a VFRS spokesperson said.

Langstaff was closed from Huntington Road to Hwy. 27, but reopened around 3:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

The incident is under investigation.
