Black History Month provides an important opportunity to recognize the rich history, culture and heritage of the black community. It is also a time to pay tribute to the valuable contributions that black Canadians have made, and continue to make, to our city, province and country. One of Vaughan’s greatest strengths is its diversity and we are grateful for the many different cultures that make up our vibrant multicultural community. Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua would like to extend his appreciation to TACCA - Thornhill African Caribbean Canadian Association for hosting this wonderful celebration.
