Stouffville to hold vigil for Humboldt hockey team April 11

Event at Stouffville Arena parking lot on Ninth Line

A community vigil will be held at the Stouffville Arena the evening of April 11 in honour of the victims of the Humboldt Broncos bus tragedy.

The vigil will begin at 7 p.m. in the north parking lot.

Flags at all Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville facilities will fly at half-mast until the morning of April 12 in honour of the victims, families and friends of the bus crash involving a Saskatchewan Jr. A hockey team.

Members of the Stouffville Spirit Jr. A hockey team will be on hand for the vigil.

A book of condolences will be available for signing in the lobby of the arena. These books will be sent to Saskatchewan to be read and appreciated by victims' family and friends in their time of mourning.

Members of the community are welcome to sign the books April 10 and 11 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The Stouffville Arena is located at 12483 Ninth Line.
