Ontario releases 2017 Sunshine List detailing top public-sector salaries
Annual list details the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of public sector employees paid $100,000 or more.

If you’re keen to know how much money the top-paid public sector workers raked in last year, then you’ll be pleased to know the Sunshine List is out.

The list reveals the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of public sector employees paid $100,000 or more.

For instance, Mackenzie Health President and CEO Altaf Stationwala was paid a salary of $540,715, plus $13,919 in benefits in 2017, according to the list.

Former Southlake Regional Health Centre CEO Dr. Dave Williams, meanwhile, pulled down $482, 550 and $19,424 in benefits. He handed over the reins to the hospital's new CEO, Arden Krystal, last October.

Wayne Emmerson, chair of the Region of York, hauled in $217,864 and benefits of $17,635.
