The revolving door at Whitchurch-Stouffville Town hall continues.

The town dismissed Director of Public Works Rob Flindall and Director of Development Services Mary Hall following a decision endorsed by council Tuesday, Feb. 6.

Chief Administrative Officer Roman Martiuk, recommended to council that leadership changes be made, according to the town.

As it is a personnel matter, the town had no further comment.

Brian Kavanagh, manager of capital projects, will take over as acting director of public works while deputy director of planning Haiqing Xu will assume responsibility for the operation of Development Services until a successor is chosen.

Council is slated to address the filling of both positions at the Feb. 20 council meeting.

The town hired Martiuk in 2017 after the town's CAO positon has been passed around like a hot potato when Dave Cash unexpectedly retired in 2013.

He was replaced by Andrew McNeely who was eventually placed on administrative leave and resigned April 21, 2015.
