The CP Holiday Train was underway throughout the month of December for its 19th year. On November 29th, a crowd of local community members gathered at the North-West corner of the CP Crossing at Nashville Road, near the Old Grain Elevator to welcome its arrival. People gathered for the beautifully-lit train and stayed for the incredible show, featuring performances from Colin James and Emma-Lee. The Holiday Train is all about local food banks and food shelves and the critical role that they play within our communities. Families were welcome to hang out and take pictures with Santa, enjoy live entertainment and indulge in hot beverages. $7000 was proudly raised in the support of the Vaughan Food Bank. The CP Holiday Train program was first launched in 1999 and since then has raised more than 13 million dollars and 4 million pounds of food for the communities that they visit along their Canadian and American routes.
