You can add another name to the growing list of people who have left jobs with the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

Town spokesperson Glenn Jackson confirmed integrity commissioner Suzanne Craig has resigned. The news comes a few months after Craig delivered a report about the infamous mind map on Mayor Justin Altmann's bathroom wall.

Craig found Altmann violated three sections of the town's code of conduct, relating to harassment, discreditable conduct and conduct respecting staff.

In November, Craig voiced her concern about the lack of contrition shown by Altmann. In this situation, employees were significantly impacted by the behaviour of the mayor, she said.

“I’m deeply disappointed by the inaction,” she said. “In the environment we are in right now, harassment should never be taken lightly.”

Craig has not responded to requests for comment since the town confirmed her resignation.

Altmann’s response to the integrity commissioner’s report, delivered by his lawyer Hermie Abraham, said the investigation conducted by the integrity commissioner was unfair, biased and should be reviewed by a neutral third party.

Craig, who also serves at the integrity commissioner in Vaughan, also took the reins as Vaughan's lobbyist registrar this month.

Craig was hired by Whitchurch-Stouffville early in 2017.
