Do you care about those in our community who are marginalized by low-income and class-based discrimination?
The York Region District School Board is seeking passionate youth, families and community members to provide feedback on equity and inclusion for students in York Region public schools.
After two years of turmoil and an education ministry investigation that reported “feelings of alienation, marginalization and discrimination”, last fall, the board welcomed a new leader, Louise Sirisko.
The former Peel Region school superintendent is known for her work in equity and inclusion.
