Holiday hours take effect on YRT and Viva routes Friday, Dec. 22 while TTC routes will make the shift from Dec. 23 to 28.

- High School Specials will be discontinued as of Dec. 25 and resume Jan. 8.

- YRT GO Shuttles and select trips on some routes -- 52 -- Holland Landing, 58 -- Mount Albert and Dial-a-Ride King -- will be adjusted to meet early afternoon GO train times on Dec. 22 and Dec. 29.

- All YRT/Viva routes will operate reduced Sunday/holiday service on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day and at Saturday service levels on Boxing Day.

The good news for riders is service will be free New Year’s Eve after 7 p.m. and select YRT/Viva routes will be extended to 5 a.m. while some TTC routes in York Region will be extended to 4 a.m.
