Mackenzie Health to preview Vaughan hospital design, smart tech features

Construction work on Vaughan’s long-awaited hospital is underway and now you are being invited to get a sneak peek at the interior and exterior designs, as well as details about the high-tech bells and whistles this cutting-edge facility will feature.
A public meeting focusing on these details takes place Tuesday, Nov. 29 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at city hall, 2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.
Altaf Stationwala, Mackenzie Health’s president and CEO, will provide a preview of the hospital’s interior and exterior design as well as the so-called smart hospital vision for the facility.
Construction of the 1.2 million square-foot hospital, at the northwest corner of Major Mackenzie Drive and Jane Street, is slated for completion in 2020.
