Vaughan Celebrates Official Opening of Pioneer Park

Regional Councillor Deb Schulte, Deputy Mayor and Regional Councillor Gino Rosati, Ward 4 Councillor Sandra Yeung Racco and Vaughan staff mark the official opening of Pioneer Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Vaughan Council celebrated the official opening of Pioneer Park with the community on June 4. The event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, refreshments and entertainment. Pioneer Park is at 105 Valley Vista Dr., south of Major Mackenzie Drive and west of Bathurst Street in Ward 4.

Design elements of Pioneer Park - which were influenced by feedback from the community - facilitate safe and universally accessible play, and provide residents with comfortable seating and protection from the elements. The pedestrian pathway is lined with a number of broad leaf canopy trees to offer shade.
