Celebrate Canada's 147th birthday at the City of Vaughan's Canada Day event on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mackenzie Glen District Park, 220 Cranston Park Ave.
Presented by TDand event sponsorsCN, Direct Energy Home ServicesandTim Hortons, this fun-filled free event will feature headline concerts and much more, including a kidz zone with inflatables, face painting and fun activities, a food zone with food available for purchase, and an official welcome by Mayor and Members of Council at 4:45 p.m. This year’s event will be emceed by Carlos Bustamante of YTV.
Taking the stage at Canada Day will be Glass Tiger, winner of five Juno Awards, and multi-platinum Canadian recording artists Honeymoon Suite. One winner from each account will be drawn for prizes, which include receiving VIP hospitality with side-stage seating for each winner and a friend, and special meet and greets with the bands. Parking will be available at Vaughan City Hall, 2141 Major Mackenzie Dr., or St. Joan of Arc Catholic high school, 1 St. Joan of Arc Ave., with free shuttle bus service running continuously to and from the event site between 2:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
