Vaughan Receives Heart Wise Designation for Fitness and Health Programs

WHAT:

The City of Vaughan's Recreation and Culture department will be recognized for receiving the Heart Wise designation by the GTA Heart Wise Exercise Network during a ceremonial presentation in the Council Chamber. A number of group fitness exercise classes and aquafit programs were given the designation for integrating mainstream local programming with the interests and physical abilities of those with cardiovascular and chronic conditions.

The GTA Heart Wise Exercise Network is a community-based partnership between the Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada, GTA cardiac rehab programs and community exercise facilities/programs.
