Community Celebrates Official Opening of Forest View Park
Members of the community joined together on Monday, May 26 to celebrate the official opening of Vaughan’s newest greenspace - Forest View Park - with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Forest View Park is in Ward 4 and features accessible junior and senior playgrounds, half-court basketball, a central seating plaza, a park shade structure and a wood chip trail.
The park is at 125 Lady Dolores Ave., west of Bathurst Street and south of Teston Road.

- The park includes a central plaza with seating walls and a unique semi-covered shade structure in the centre of the park
- Play equipment has been located in a large and open play precinct with engineered wood fibre fall protection safety surfacing, which allows for universal accessible access into the play area
- The existing woodlot has been preserved as part of the park’s environmental sustainability initiative
- A continuous pedestrian pathway allows access from various points along the perimeter of the park
- The pedestrian pathway is lined with a large number of broad leaf canopy (deciduous) trees to provide park users with shade protection during the summer
