Yonge Street closure advisory - Thornhill celebrates its community spirit

On Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 9.00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Yonge Street will be completely closed to traffic between Centre Street and John Street.

Centre Street and John Street will both be open to traffic.

The closure is located in Thornhill, in southern York Region between Steeles Avenue and Highway 407.

Motorists who use Yonge St. as a through route are strongly advised to use either Bathurst Street or Bayview Avenue.

Several side streets near Yonge Street, will be closed from 8:00 am until 5:30 pm

Between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Thornhill will be holding its 38th Village Festival along in Old Thornhill. Admission is by voluntary donation.
