The City of Brampton is making voting easier and more accessible for the upcoming Municipal Election on October 27 with new service-oriented initiatives. Five days of Advance Voting (October 11, 14 to 16, 18), a new Voting Bus (October 14 to 16) and a home-based voting option for those with disabilities or illnesses have been arranged to provide more flexibility for voters.
A City bus has been converted into a voting station and will be parked at Shoppers World Brampton near Gateway Transit Terminal on October 14 and 16, 7 am to 7 pm, and at Flower City Seniors Centre on October 15, 8 am to 5 pm. Eligible voters can vote on the bus at these locations.
Voters who are home-bound because of disability or medical reasons can now ask to exercise a home-voting option. City employees will visit the voter at their home between October 14 and 16 and ensure confidentiality of their ballot. To check if you are eligible for this option and to schedule an appointment, call 905.874.2424 between September 30 and October 16.
