Vaughan Achieves Heart Wise Designation

The City of Vaughan’s Recreation and Culture department were congratulated at Council for receiving the honourable title “Heart Wise” by the GTA Heart Wise Exercise Network. The designation was awarded to a number of City-operated fitness classes and aquafit programs that combines mainstream local programming with the interests of those with cardiovascular and chronic conditions. The Heart Wise Exercise Program (HWEP) focuses on raising awareness, supporting physically active lifestyles for people of all abilities and acknowledging those, like the City’s Recreation and Culture department, for their efforts in improving the quality of life in the community.
