Vaughan Celebrates Canada Day

It was a great big party at Vaughan Celebrates Canada Day on July 1st. Folks from all over the community made their way down to Mackenzie Glen District Park for an entire day full of fun. Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua, MPP Steven Del Duca and other members of Council took to the stage for the Official Welcome and to wish everyone a Happy Canada Day. Sarah Jordan was up next with a beautiful rendition of O Canada. It was the perfect celebration for the entire family which featured several free live concerts headlined by the talented Glass Tiger and Honeymoon Suite. YTV’s Carlos Bustamante helped kick things off as the special emcee for this year’s Canada Day celebration. There were a number of fantastic performances by Bounce Entertainment and Disco Inferno. Children were invited to check out the Kidz Zone where there were inflatables and free activities for the kids to enjoy. The Food Zone was also full of wonderful vendors this year with food available for purchase. This year’s Canada Day celebration was presented by TD and Event Sponsors CN, Direct Energy Home Services and Tim Hortons. Thanks to the event organizers for putting on a spectacular show once again!
