When Paul Marin set out to assist sports memorabalia collector Andrew McCall in raising funds to publish a book of rare, unseen negatives of vintage National Hockey League moments dating back to the 1950s he possessed, his goal was to raise $39,000.

Mission accomplished.

Marin, who is the director of marketing and sales of Concord-based Fantactics Sports and Entertainment Marketing, announced they reached their target on Aug. 3.

In meeting their objective through a month-long campaign on the Kickstarter.com website, Marin revealed they can now proceed with their glossy, hardcover publication, Glory and Triumph.

Marin said from the initial printing, 3,000 copies will be allocated to be sold through other outlets for any interested readers that missed out on the Kickstarter campaign.

Through sales, Marin and McCall want to channel the funds to assist former NHL players who might be experiencing some financial difficulties.
