Spirit of Community Dinner

Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua was among the list of award recipients at the Spirit of Community Dinner on May 28th. All guests were invited to the Terrace Banquet Centre for a wonderful evening where they honoured individuals in the city of Vaughan that have made a difference in the community.

The two other honourees included Mr. Tony Falbo, Founder and CEO of Mircom Group of Companies and Mr. Abraham Tsherna, President of A & G The Road Cleaners. While Mayor Bevilacqua was awarded the Community Leadership Award for his exceptional leadership, Tony Falbo was presented with the Community Leadership Award to recognize his incredible support of many community initiatives and Abraham Tsherna was awarded the Community Partner Award for his participation in several charitable initiatives supporting the community.

Many of the guests took the time to congratulate the recipients and thank them for all of their positive contributions to the city. There was a lineup of exciting activities and live entertainment for the evening which included everything from live music, a live auction and a delicious gourmet meal. Proceeds for this dinner will be going towards the Beth Chabad Israeli Community Centre, a charitable organization that assists Israeli immigrants with various needs in the Greater Toronto Area.
