Vaughan runner 8th at world jr. championships in Oregon

Justyn Knight ran his way to an eighth place finish in the men’s 5,000 metres at the 2014 IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championships in Eurgene, Ore. yesteday.

The Vaughan resident ran it in a personal best time of 14:08.93.

Yomif Kejecha of Ethiopia was the winner in a personal best clocking of 13:25.19.

A recent graduate of St. Michael’s College in Toronto, Knight will be attending Syracuse University this fall on a track and field scholarship.
