Canada’s Patricia Bezzoubenko has captured her second gold medal of the Commonwealth Games.

The 17-year-old rhythmic gymnast won the individual all-around title a day after she led Canada to gold in the team event.

Bezzoubenko was born in Vancouver but grew up in Moscow, where she trains with members of Russia’s national team.

Her hometown is Thornhill, Ont.

Bezzoubenko was fifth in the hoop event but rebounded to win the ball and clubs and led going into the final apparatus - the ribbon.

Bezzoubenko is poised to add to her medal haul when she competes in all four individual events on Saturday.

It’s Canada’s third gold of the Games. Swimmer Ryan Cochrane won the men’s 400-metre freestyle race on Thursday.
