Racist graffiti has marred another part of Thornhill, this time on a bus shelter.

This morning police and Vaughan city workers found fresh scrawlings on a bus shelter at Atkinson Avenue and Spring Gate boulevards, near Clarke Avenue and Bathurst Street.

The graffiti is anti-Israel and includes a swastika.

It’s the second act of hate vandalism in the area this week, as vandals wrote "Arab go home”, anti-Palestinian comments and a Star of David on the grounds of Jaffari Village, which is a community centre and mosque at Bathurst and Rutherford Road.

The graffiti comes as violence between Israel and Hamas has ramped up in recent weeks in the Middle East.
