Take two: Ontario Liberals present budget

The provincial government presented its budget July 14. The document is identical to the budget rejected by opposition parties May 1, triggering a June 12 provincial election.
Highlights of the budget re-introduced by Premier Kathleen Wynne include:
- $29-billion to be dedicated to building a province-wide transportation network across the Greater
- Toronto and Hamilton Area by investing in highways, public transit, roads and bridges over the next 10 years
- $11-billion to be invested in modernizing elementary and secondary schools over the next 10 years
- Over $11.4-billion to be allocated to major hospital expansion and redevelopment projects over the next 10 years
- Funds for new or expanded post-secondary campuses to accommodate demand across Ontario
