GTA in Brief: Burlington’s new parking by-laws

City of Burlington council approved amendments to its parking by-laws at its meeting May 20. The amendments, which went into effect June 1, increase the maximum number of hours parking is permitted on residential streets - from three to five hours - and prohibit overnight parking from 1 to 6 a.m.

The new bylaws stem from an on-street and front yard parking study along with feedback from the community.
