On behalf of herself, the Board of Directors, the Clients and Staff at ETA Vaughan Women's
Shelter, ETA Vaughan President Marie Di Poce thanked Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua, Regional Councillors Schulte and Rosati and the entire council for their continued support to help those in need.

"We could not have accomplished this without the assistance of our political leaders and the kindness and generosity of persons in the community who support this important endeavour," said Di Poce.

The Mayor and Council accepted the plaque, as well as an Inuit Sculpture of the Owl and Family, which represented a unified efforts to assist Families in Need.
