Snapd Vaughan East
June 2014

The YMCA Child Care Centre was recently unveiled at Vaughan City Hall. The official grand opening celebration ensured that 52 additional children in the community will be provided with high quality, licensed child care programming. The YMCA child care centre can hold 20 toddlers and 32 pre-school age children in the new facility. Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua made a special appearance to join everyone in celebrating the official opening. Additional speakers were also on hand for this special event including: Medhat Mahdy, President and CEO of YMCA of Greater Toronto and Linda Cottes, Senior Vice President of Child and Family Development of YMCA of Greater Toronto. Guests were welcome to take a tour of new facility which was led by YMCA Child Care Directors Cindy Caputo and Dianne Taylor. The new space is a beautiful addition to Vaughan City Hall, naturally providing a safe place to learn and play inside one of Vaughan's biggest attractions.
