The CAA has released its Top 10 list of Ontario roads motorists love to hate in 2014.
No York Region routes made the dishonour roll for this year, although the list included seven Toronto roads.
For the third year in a row, Dufferin Street in Toronto was named the province’s worst road, while Stanley Avenue in Niagara Falls and Toronto’s Kipling Avenue were deemed the second and third worst routes, respectively.
Going down the list, in order, you’ll find roads that have appeared on the list several times in years past including Toronto’s Finch Avenue West, Hamilton’s Burlington Street East, Toronto’s Bayview Avenue and Ottawa’s Carling Avenue. A trio of Toronto roadways rounds out the list, those being Markham Road, repeat offender Lawrence Avenue East and Wilson Avenue.
The last time a York Region-area road made the list was back in 2009, when Steeles Avenue had the dubious honour of being ranked first of the worst by voters participating in the CAA’s yearly campaign.
