The town invites you to explore its newly designed aurora.ca website.
The first redesign in 10 years was done because the site was out-of-date with today’s technology, manager of corporate communications Mike Kemp said.
The new site will allow better accessibility, as recommended by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities.
Among the site’s many new features are:
- A bold new graphic home-page with dynamic links to news and notices, an events calendar and the town’s Facebook page, Twitter feed and YouTube channel;
- Google search engine;
- A streamlined navigation, organized by services;
- A scalable design that accommodates multiple screen resolutions from large desktop computer screens to small hand-held devices and;
- Quick links to popular pages and downloads.
It also features a bold, vivid interface, fast, streamlined navigation and a very intuitive design to quickly find what you need, Mayor Geoffrey Dawe said.
The site has been optimized to work with tablets and other popular mobile devices, the mayor said.
