One York Region eatery was temporarily closed last weekend due to unsanitary conditions and inadequate water supply.

York Region Community and Health Services inspectors closed the Dippin' Dots/Spudniks kiosk in Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre Wednesday. The business re-opened the next day.

Two other restaurants were charged Thursday under the Health Protection and Promotion Act.

Montana's Cookhouse in Newmarket was charged with failing to ensure the floor of a food-handling room was kept in good repair, while Potato Noodle Soup of Bai in Markham was charged with failing to ensure the floor of a food-handling room was kept clean.

These charges and closure represent the condition of the food premises at the date and time of the inspections and do not guarantee or warrant the condition of the food premises at any other time.

York Region implemented the food premises disclosure system to provide public access to information relating to charges laid and closures made by York Region Community and Health Services inspectors.
