York Region 2013 state of infrastructure reports

York Region council received an information report on the region’s 2013 transportation and community planning state of infrastructure at its meeting May 15. The report notes the region exceeds its service needs using criteria on infrastructure condition, reliability of services and capacity to meet demands.

Regional council also received an information report on the region’s environmental services
2013 state of infrastructure.

The report provides an overview of water and wastewater services, solid waste processing and forest protection and grades them based on reliability, capacity, soundness and financial criteria. The report notes improvements in all areas and strengths in water quality, waste management and forest protection.
