Volunteer Recognition Awards Ceremony

From April 6th to 12th, the City of Vaughan invited several not-for-profit organizations and groups to nominate an exceptional volunteer for the City of Vaughan Volunteer Recognition Award. The Awards Ceremony was held in light of National Volunteer Week. Nominations were accepted for one of two age groups including youth volunteers for those between the ages of 13 to 24, or adult volunteers for those aged 25 years and older. There were many nominated candidates that day, and all have made many outstanding contributions to their organization and to the City of Vaughan. It was certainly a special event as the nominated volunteers brought their loved ones to help celebrate this momentous occasion. Shortly after the awards were given out, everyone was welcome t enjoy light refreshments, beverages and the musical entertainment for the evening.
