As part of reforms to physiotherapy services, Vaughan MPP Steven Del Duca announced increasing access to publicly funded exercise and falls prevention classes in Vaughan to help more seniors stay healthy and independent. To help approximately 130,000 more seniors stay active, healthy, and able to live in their own home longer, community exercise and falls prevention classes are being expanded. In Central LHIN over 10,000 seniors will have access to classes in a variety of settings including retirement homes, community centres and seniors’ apartment buildings. Classes are publicly funded, and free to all seniors. In Vaughan, the classes will be available at Maple Community Centre, Villa Del Sole, Chartwell Valley Vista & Richview Manor. The Central CCAC is the first point of access for participants. For more information contact the Central CCAC at 1-888-470-2222 for class information.
