PowerStream Named as One of 'Canada's Greenest Employers'

Five months after naming PowerStream as one of 'Greater Toronto's Top Employers' for 2014, Mediacorp Canada has now recognized the community-owned energy company for being one of 'Canada's Greenest Employers'.

The competition, conducted on an annual basis by the largest Canadian publisher of quality employment information, is a subset of 'Canada's Top 100 Employers' project. Companies that have earned the 'Canada's Greenest Employer' designation have been successful in integrating environmental awareness into their corporate values and culture. Each employer is evaluated by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers in terms of:

PowerStream has been successful in developing several employee environmental programs including specialty recycling and waste diversion, carpooling, vanpooling and participation in annual Smart Commute events such as Bike to Work Day. The company also advocates the benefits of energy consumption reduction to its customers through the delivery of Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) programs.
