Snapd Woodbridge and Snapd Vaughan East
April 2014
Seedy Saturdays provide an opportunity for all those interested in food, food security, gardening and environmental stewardship to dig in and improve their health and well-being.
Here in Vaughan, Seedy Saturday transformed Vaughan City Hall’s Multipurpose room into an event that seemed part Farmers Market & part health seminar. Guests had the chance to buy organic and heirloom seeds, sample delicious and nutritious food from local vendors, learn gardening tips from dynamic speakers and enjoy kids' activities.
Throughout the event, organizers livestreamed the TEDxManhattan's "Changing The Way We Eat" conference, which provided a soundtrack of international speakers sharing their insights on what the folks at City Hall on March 1st were taking in.
