The Olive Branch for Children invited the community out to a wonderful evening at the 9th Annual Gala Fundraising Dinner. This year’s event was held at the Bellvue Manor at 8083 Jane Street. There were several special guests scheduled to attend this year’s gala, including Regional Councillor Deb Schulte, MP Julian Fantino, MPP Steven Del Duca, and Councillor Tony Carella.

Olive Branch volunteers shared their personal experiences working with the organization and answered all questions. Deborah McCracken, founder of The Olive Branch for Children, discussed the recent advancements in addition to the construction and opening of the Vaughan-Wambiloo Montessori School located in Tanzania.

McCracken also shared the charity’s plans for the near future including building a home for over 40 orphans living with HIV/AIDS. A delicious 5-course dinner was served to all guests once the speeches were done. Thanks to everyone for showing up and making this a special night!
