York Region health inspectors ticket 4 more establishments

York Region’s public health inspectors visited several eateries last week and issued a number of charges.

The list of restaurants cited includes:

- H-Mart on Yonge Street in Richmond Hill, which received two tickets April 9 for failing to ensure its equipment surface was washed as necessary and for failing to keep the floor of its food-handling room clean;

- Kabob Express on Rutherford Road in Vaughan was charged April 9 for failing to keep the wall of its food-handling room in good repair;

- Kitchen Food Fair, also on Rutherford in Vaughan, was ticketed April 10 for failing to equip its facility with hot and cold water.

In addition to those establishments, RoyalCrest Academy on Dufferin Street in Vaughan was cited April 7 for failing to ensure its premises was cleaned to prevent food contamination.

The food premises disclosure system provides the public access to information relating to charges laid and closures made by York Region community and health services public health inspectors.

Health inspection results are available for food establishments, recreational water facilities, salons and spas in York Region.
