Additional storm cleanup

York Region and its nine local municipal partners are preparing for additional cleanup from December’s ice storm.

As the snow melts, hidden debris will be exposed and collected.

For residents wishing to drop off storm debris, the Bloomington Yard Waste Depot is open Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s located at 1351 Bloomington Road in Richmond Hill.

Municipal public works staff continues to collect ice storm debris as warmer temperatures melt snow.

Once fallen and severely damaged trees on Regional property are removed, crews will spend the spring and summer months pruning and assessing tree damage.

Residents with questions regarding curbside collection of debris or other storm-related cleanup activities are asked to contact their local municipality directly.
