Ward 1 Civic Hero Award Winner

Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council present the Civic Hero Award for Ward 1 to Norma Curtis.
The Civic Hero Award for Ward 1 was presented to Norma Curtis by Vaughan Council on January 28th. Ms. Curtis was recognized for more than 25 years of volunteerism, leadership and advocacy in the Kleinburg area. A fifth-generation Vaughan resident, Ms. Curtis was raised in Kleinburg and has been actively involved in the community. She has volunteered for numerous community organizations and events, such as Binder Twine Festival, Kleinburg-Nobleton United Church, KARA Open Spaces and the Kline House.
The Civic Hero Award is presented annually to one resident from each of the five local wards of Vaughan. The awards recognize outstanding achievement and individual contributions to the community.
