Vaughan Safety Expo

The Vaughan Safety Expo will be held this Saturday, March 29 at Vaughan Mills Mall.

The City of Vaughan is proud to present the 2014 Vaughan Safety Expo, designed to provide citizens with safety information from organizations dedicated to keeping our community safe.

Residents will have an opportunity to receive valuable safety information and have an opportunity to engage in discussions about community safety programs with police officers, fire and rescue officers, city officials and representatives from many other organizations.

The event will take place this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Vaughan Mills Shopping Mall, located at 1 Bass Pro Mills Drive in Vaughan. The event will be held in Neighbourhood 1, near the Bass Pro Shops indoor entrance.

Earth Hour Vaughan

The seventh annual Earth Hour Vaughan celebration will be held this Saturday, March 29, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall, located at 2141 Major Mackenzie Drive.

This fun-filled evening will be a night of collective action for energy conservation and will feature a professional energy conservation exhibit, lantern-making, a secondary school environmental Jeopardy game, an outdoor lantern walk, cycling night ride, entertainment acts, refreshments, prizes and much more.

Remember to bring a lantern or flashlight, a reusable mug and to dress warmly. To register for the night cycling ride, contact vaughanbug@gmail.com.

Al Palladini Community Centre 25th anniversary

Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Al Palladini Community Centre in Woodbridge on Saturday, April 5. The official welcome will take place at 11 a.m. and there will be free activities including face painting, complimentary cake and refreshments and recreational skates and swims throughout the day..

The Al Palladini Community Centre is located at 9201 Islington Avenue in Woodbridge.
