PowerStream, in conjunction with the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) and several participating retailers, is launching a discount coupon initiative designed to provide consumers with instant savings on a wide range of energy-efficient products and to help them better understand the benefits of conservation.

Scheduled to run from March 28 to April 27 inclusive, the Spring 2014 'saveONenergy' COUPON EVENT features an assortment of discount coupons on energy-efficient products that can be redeemed at participating retailers such as Canadian Tire, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's and RONA. Customers interested in taking advantage of the program will have 18 different in-store money saving coupons to choose from on a variety of products. The purchase and use of energy-efficient products will help PowerStream customers reduce their energy consumption.

The coupons provide savings on ENERGY STAR(R) qualified specialty light bulbs and light fixtures; lighting control products like hard-wired dimmers, timers and occupancy sensors, heavy duty plug-in timers, advanced power bars and weather-stripping. New to the program in 2014, are discount coupons for ENERGY STAR(R) qualified specialty LED light bulbs which can be used with many different light fixtures.

To help customers take full advantage of the discounts available during the COUPON EVENT, coupons are being made available through a variety of ways. In addition to the in-store coupons, Ontario residents will also receive a coupon booklet in the mail and PowerStream will be distributing these same booklets at a variety of community events.
