Woodbridge pancake supper to benefit local teen

Vaughan Weekly
March 12, 2014

Christ Church Anglican in Woodbridge held its annual Night of 1,000 Pancakes on Shrove Tuesday (March 4).

The pancake supper was hosted jointly by the Outreach Team at Christ Church Woodbridge and the Rotary Club of Woodbridge who have been working together for nine years to raise money for various groups both international and local.

This year, 100 per cent of the proceeds will go to support local resident Selina Oung,17, who suffered a stroke at the age of 15 which left her a quadriplegic. The funds will help Selina’s family modify their vehicle (which can cost upwards of $15,000) so they can transport her to and from hospital appointments. To date, over $4,100 has been raised and donations will be accepted until March 23.
