Free income tax service offered at Vaughan libraries

Chartered accountants help eligible low-income residents

Free tax clinics will be hosted at various Vaughan libraries this month.

An accountant from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario will be at various branches on select dates and times, to assist those who are eligible for the service.

Eligible recipients must have a total household income of less than $20,000, without household dependents. Those who have a household income of less than $30,000 with household dependents are also eligible.

Pre-registration is required.

Tax clinics at Bathurst Clark Resource Library, located on 900 Clark Ave. W. will be held March 13, 19 and 26 at 5:30 p.m. and March 15 at 1 p.m.

Dufferin Clark Library, located at 1441 Clark Ave. W., will host tax clinics March 19 at 6 p.m. and March 22 at 1 p.m.

Maple Library, 10190 Keele St., will host a clinic March 20 at 6 p.m. Pierre Berton resource library, 4921 Rutherford Rd., will host clinics March 15 and 29 at 1 p.m., and March 19 and 26 at 6 p.m.

Tax clinics at Woodbridge Library, 150 Woodbridge Ave., will be held March 17 and 18 at 6 p.m. and March 22 at 1 p.m.
