A large water main break early this morning has closed a stretch of Keele Street, between Langstaff Road and Bowes Road, causing headaches for drivers and snarling traffic in the area.
Reports say the closure is expected to last most of the day as crews try to stop the leak and do repairs.
Meanwhile, there is a partial road closure elsewhere in Vaughan.
The region has shutdown two lanes of Rutherford Road, between Clarence Street and Forest Fountain Drive, in advance of scheduled emergency water main repairs.
The work was supposed to get under way earlier today, and last through to Monday, but it has been put on hold until the issues on Keele Street are resolved.
Traffic is being diverted into the eastbound lanes along this stretch of Rutherford Road.
