The City of Vaughan is sending it's best wishes to our Canadian athletes heading to Sochi for the upcoming Winter Olympics. M.P. Peter Kent, Councillor Alan Shefman & Promenade Mall General Manager Liem Vu led an excited audience in signing giant cards to be sent to Russia to give Canadian athletes a boost as they represent Canada.
Each of the distinguished guests took to the podium to offer their words of encouragement as well, which seemed to amp up the crowd who waited patiently to collect their Team Canada pins and sign the cards. Vendor booths were also set up, offering tastes of Canadiana including fresh waffles and maple syrup!
