Vaughan Hospital Receives $1 Million From Mayor's Gala

Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and Members of Council join Ingrid Perry, president and CEO of Mackenzie Health Foundation and Fraser Nelson, Foundation chair at the cheque presentation.
Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua recently presented a cheque for $1 million to the Mackenzie Health Foundation from proceeds from the Mayor’s Gala and Golf Tournament. Ingrid Perry, president and CEO of the Mackenzie Health Foundation, and Fraser Nelson, chair of the Mackenzie Health Foundation, accepted the donation.
The Mackenzie Health Foundation raises funds in support of the new Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital. The hospital will be built on City-owned lands at Major Mackenzie Dr. and Jane St. The donation includes $430,000 that was raised at the Mayor’s Galas through a live auction for dinner with the Mayor.
