Frank Corrado is getting accustomed to making the cross-country trek from Utica, N.Y. to Vancouver.
For the second time this season, the 20-year-old Woodbridge resident has rejoined the Vancouver Canucks’ NHL roster, the team announced Friday.
Recent injuries to veteran defencemen Kevin Bieksa, who is listed as day-to-day with a foot ailment since Jan. 29 and Chris Tanev, out day-to-day with an upper body ailment since Jan. 27, have forced the Canucks to bring in some reinforcements from their American Hockey League Utica Comets affiliate.
Corrado appeared in six games with the Canucks earlier this season before he was sent to Utica.
The six-foot, one-inch defenceman was selected by the Canucks in the fifth round of the 2011 NHL entry draft.
During his time with the Comets this season, Corrado had three goals and four assists in 36 games.
