You could be in for a messy commute tomorrow morning as a major storm could bring up to 40 millimetres of rain to York Region tonight and tomorrow.
An Alberta clipper and Texas low are merging and will intensify as the low centre heads toward Lake Superior. This storm system will bring rising temperatures and strong winds to the region.
Precipitation will likely start as snow, freezing rain or hail overnight and then change to rain as the temperature rises.
Thunderstorms are possible and may result in higher rainfall amounts.
Significant snow melt due to the rain and rising temperatures could cause localized flooding.
With the rain, winds will increase out of the southwest, with gusts to 70 or 80 km/h.
Check back for updates.
